Plus all the latest news both from clubs, District and SHU. This site is updated at least once a week, but usually more often. East District Hockey covers Edinburgh and the Lothians, part of Fife and clubs from the Borders region of Scotland.

Hayley McMillan – George Heriots Ladies FPs (Funeral to be held on Monday 26th February in Kendall)
East District Hockey and members of George Heriots Ladies FP hockey Club would like to pay tribute to a good friend and team mate Hayley Wilson (McMillan) who tragically passed away on Friday 16th February aged 27.
She will always be remembered for her happy personality and unique “one liners” which only she could come out with. As a hockey player her skills could have taken her to the highest level and she has been the player of the year on numerous occasions and is a past 1st XI and club captain.
Hayley played a huge part in the social side of the club and always managed to make us smile with her antics on a hockey night out, she will be remembered for that just as much as the amazing talent she clearly had for hockey.
She will never be forgotten and will always hold a special place in the hearts and minds of the members of the club. We would like to thank everyone in the hockey world for their support and wishes and our heart felt condolences go to her parents and family, who will always be welcome at the club.
