The following positions on the Committee require to be filled

SCOTTISH HOCKEY AND EAST DISTRICT HOCKEY COACHES

EAST DISTRICT

COACH VACANCIES (4)

SESSIONAL 

An opportunity has arisen for Hockey Coaches to deliver a coaching programme for the East District level U18 and U16 players (male and female)

The District Programme consists of the most talented male and female hockey players in the district, aged 14-18 years who have not made national youth selection but wish to develop their hockey playing abilities through a 2 hours per week pitch session.

The U18 boys and girls sessions will be delivered on a Sunday 09.00am to 11.00am at Peffermill. The programme runs from February to May. Indoor facilities will be used when required.

Interested coaches are invited to submit an electronic CV to apply for the position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, deliver and evaluate 2 pitch sessions per week. 

• Report on the progress of players to the respective district committee, Performance Manager and East District Development Officer.

• Communicate with school/club coaches with regard to individual player programmes at programmed meetings

• Provide attendance and any testing data as required

Responsible to:

• The Performance Manager, Scottish Hockey

• East District Development Officer

Essential Qualifications:

• SHU Level 2*

• 2 years coaching experience

• A member of the Association of Scottish Hockey Coaches or another insuring body

*  A Level 1 Coach will be considered if he/she is actively working towards the SHU Level 2 qualification and is able to work alongside a level 2 coach.

Payment:

• Rate of pay will be given according to qualifications and experience in line with Scottish Hockey recommended pay scales
