Twelve East U.16 players have been invited to attend a Scottish U16 Women’s Assessment Days on Sunday 29th November & Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th December 2009 at Peffermill, Edinburgh.
The intention of the assessment days is to give players another opportunity to be assessed without the pressure related to tournament play. Sunday 29th November arrive by 8.30am for start at 9:00 am - 4 pm. Morning session fitness testing followed by a skills based session. Afternoon session will predominately focus on match play. Meeting over lunch where all players will be informed of the expectations required of them, should they be successful, during next year’s programme.
During the assessment day the squad will be re-assessed and cut to a number which the management team feels will be able to fulfil the International Programme over the coming year. Additions or omissions can be made to the core training group at any point throughout the programme at the discretion of the management team.
The successful players after the assessment/training day will contacted by the SHU by Wednesday 9th December and a full list of the revised training squad will be posted on the SHU website by 12.30pm on Friday 11th December. The successful players will then follow a training programme for 2 months until the next training session on the weekend 30-31st January 2010.
